Home/Workplace health/Manual handling training
Manual handling training that takes a risk management approach, looking beyond lifting technique to the tasks, loads and workplace factors that contribute to injury risk.

Manual handling training
Participants learn to identify workplace hazards and assess associated risks, apply the Hierarchy of Controls to reduce injury, and plan tasks effectively to minimise strain. A one hour presentation with theory and practical components, delivered onsite so the techniques are practised against the real task.
Practical worker manual handling assessments can also be included to assess their individual technique and ability to identify risks in the workplace.

The detail
An hour with a physiotherapist, at your workplace, using the loads and equipment your team handles every day.
A one hour session with theory and practical components focused on preventing musculoskeletal injuries. Delivered onsite at your workplace, with the option to add customised content relevant to your industry and the work your team actually performs.
Individual manual handling assessments can be added to the session, providing one on one feedback on technique rather than relying on group demonstration alone. Technique is corrected one on one rather than only demonstrated to the room.
